Five productions receive $2.7M in funding through Francophone Minority Program

Toronto, November 2, 2017 - The Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced today $2.7M in funding to five convergent projects as part of the second round of financing under the Francophone Minority Program. This program supports productions which reflect the realities of living in French-language communities outside Québec.

Canadian audiences will have a chance to enjoy these new French-language productions created for television and digital media from various regions of the country: two productions from New Brunswick, one from Nova Scotia and two from Ontario. There will be two children’s and youth productions, two documentaries, and one drama.

The CMF has provided $78M in production funding to 217 projects through the program since 2010.
