Jury evaluates CMF Commercial Projects Pilot Program applications

Toronto, November 23, 2017— Five distinguished digital media experts met in Toronto on November 22 and 23, 2017 to evaluate digital media projects that were submitted for funding support as part of the Canada Media Fund’s (CMF) Experimental Stream, Commercial Projects Pilot Program (C3P).

The jury is composed of Canadian and international industry specialists including: Jason Della Rocca (Montréal), Fabienne Fiorucci (Paris), Valérie Hénaire (Québec), Lucie Lalumière (Toronto), and Gavin McGarry (Los Angeles).

Click here to read more about each juror involved in the Experimental Stream’s production application evaluation. Jury members have complementary skill sets including entrepreneurship, independent production (digital media, film, and television), and marketing.

The jury provides an external perspective on commercial potential and assesses projects based on their possible commercial success. The program’s goal is to support Canadian interactive, innovative and leading edge including console and casual games, interactive web series and apps, as well as enabling technologies.

In the coming weeks, the CMF will announce the projects that will receive funding support through this program.
