Program Update and Deadline Reminder: Canada-Jerusalem Codevelopment and Coproduction Incentive
Toronto, August 16, 2017 - The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and the Jerusalem Film Fund at the Jerusalem Development Authority have introduced digital media projects in the drama genre to the list of projects eligible for funding through the Canada-Jerusalem Codevelopment and Coproduction Incentive. The deadline to submit an application to this program remains unchanged: October 19, 2017.
This incentive is dedicated to codevelopment and coproduction between Canadian and Jerusalemite producers of TV projects in the drama, children and youth, and variety and performing arts genres, as well digital media projects in virtual reality, augmented reality, video games, documentary, and animation. Now the incentive also includes digital media projects in the drama genre. Click here to access the updated program guidelines.
The total maximum contribution for each funded project in development is CAD$100,000, and the total maximum contribution for each project in production is CAD$250,000. The contribution of each country to each project will be determined on a case by case basis and funding will take the form of repayable advance in development and a repayable contribution in production.
All projects will be evaluated at the same time following the submission deadline. Projects will be evaluated and chosen by a committee comprised of representatives from the CMF and Jerusalem Development Authority through a selective process.
Producers interested in finding an international partner as part of this development incentive are invited to post a profile of their company on the CMF’s website by clicking here. Profiles will be accessible to all, including potential partners from other countries.
