10 Francophone minority productions benefit from $7.2M
The Canada Media Fund announced today that 10 Convergent Stream productions have been awarded $7.2M from the Francophone Minority Program which supports productions that reflect the realities and interests of French communities outside of Quebec. Since 2010, the CMF has contributed $47.0M to 128 Francophone Minority projects.
Canadian audiences will enjoy productions from various parts of the country including two from British Columbia, one from Manitoba, two from New Brunswick, and five from Ontario. Of the 10 convergent productions, each of which are created for television and have a digital media component, four are Children’s & Youth, four are Documentaries, and two are Dramas.
