25 Canadian companies receive more than $14 million for their interactive digital media projects
(Toronto, July 9, 2012) – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced today that 25 interactive digital media projects received a total of $14 million in funds as part of the Experimental Stream’s production support. The Experimental Stream encourages the development of innovative, interactive digital media content and software applications.
As the CMF enters into its third year, it has already provided more than $58 million in funding to 112 projects who received production support. Production support provides funding for the creation of a final, market-ready version of an eligible project, including localization (i.e. versioning) of the project and preliminary marketing and commercialization activities.
