Canada-Denmark digital media projects receive over $276K in funding
Toronto/Copenhagen, February 26, 2018 - The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and the Danish Film Institute (DFI) announced today that four interactive digital media projects will receive over $276K in funding through the Canada-Denmark Codevelopment Incentive for Digital Media Projects. The following projects will receive funding as part of this incentive.

Bloom and The Wonder Woollies are animated web series, FLEE VR is an animated VR experience, and Northern Lights is a game and transmedia experience. Two of the Canadian production companies are based in Ontario and two in Québec.
The program is designed to encourage creative producers from each country to collaborate on the development of digital projects by facilitating the creation of innovative content. By funding projects that use new technologies to tell culturally relevant stories, both countries demonstrate their continued support for original storytelling in the digital age.
Projects were evaluated and chosen by a selection committee composed of representatives from both funding organizations. Projects were required to be a collaboration involving at least one eligible Canadian producer and at least one eligible Danish producer.
