Canada-New Zealand coproductions receive over $800K

Toronto, February 7, 2017 – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and NZ On Air announced today a financing incentive of CDN $801,450 for two digital media coproduction projects under the Canada-New Zealand Digital Media Fund.

Now in its third year, this partnership between the Canada Media Fund (CMF) and NZ On Air funds eligible digital media coproductions between producers from the two countries. By funding projects that use new technologies to tell culturally-relevant stories, the program is designed to encourage creative producers from each country to collaborate on digital media productions.

The following projects will receive funding as part of this incentive.

Projects were evaluated and chosen by a selection committee composed of representatives from both funding organisations. Funded projects involve at least one eligible Canadian producer and at least one New Zealand resident producer.
