New editorial partnership between CMF and Méta-Media, France
(Toronto, October 27, 2015) The Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced today a partnership to collaborate with Méta-Media, a blog from French public broadcaster France Télévisions, to share and exchange industry news and research content that will appear on CMF Trends and Méta-Media’s respective websites.
The partnership with Méta-Media is a natural extension of the CMF Trends editorial offerings, increasing its reach and providing industry intelligence and trends in English and in French to an audience of content creators in Canada and internationally.
The first posting available as of today focuses on discoverability challenges in an environment of overabundant choice and offers new insights on audience consumption behaviour with video-on-demand services. TV / video: finding content still as challenging as ever, by Barbara Chazelle, provides a synopsis of one of the major findings from Ericsson’s TV and Media 2015 report. It highlights the need for better recommendation and discovery tools to improve the audiences viewing experience.
The Méta-Media agreement is the second international editorial partnership for the CMF. The CMF has already partnered with MIPBlog which aims to foster debate and exchange of TV and entertainment industry knowledge, as shared both at MIP markets and beyond, all year round. Recently, MIPBlog featured the CMF Trends’ Mid-Year Updateand a blog post on building long-term audiences on YouTube.
The CMF Trends analysis blog includes some 200 posts as well as video interviews to which new content is added regularly. Favoring a collaborative approach with expert bloggers from Canada and around the world, readers can access an extensive collection of specialized articles about the television and digital media industry.
In addition to the CMF Trends website, the CMF Trends Newsletter and the @CMF_Trends (@FMC_Veille) Twitter accounts are two very useful resources to stay up to date on the current and future state of the audiovisual media industry here in Canada and around the world.
