International incentives

The CMF is part of Canada’s strong funding ecosystem that fosters audiovisual content creation and encourages international coproduction.

Together, Canada’s coproduction treaties and the CMF’s financing provide opportunities for Canadian producers and their international counterparts to share resources and talent to tap into new markets. As consumers have growing access to content from all corners of the world, producers can benefit greatly from working together on the international front.

Current Incentives

The international coproduction and codevelopment incentives support innovative solutions to encourage the coproduction and codevelopment of content.

Below is a list of agreements for this fiscal year signed to date, with new international partnerships being announced throughout the year.

Applicants will be permitted to apply via Dialogue generally 10 days in advance of the Program’s Closing Date.

Find a co-producer

The CMF and our international incentive funding partners invite producers interested in finding an international partner to use our search feature below. The CMF does not assess the admissibility to CMF programs of producers who wish to be listed here, but does evaluate their ability to promote themselves through this directory. The CMF does not specifically endorse any of the producers who choose to be added to this list.

Add me to the co-producer list

We invite producers interested in finding an international coproducer, as part of a current funding incentive, to create a public profile for their company and a specific project, if applicable. Your profile will be posted within a few days following your submission.
