Register to attend CMF focus groups – registration now live
Toronto, August 20, 2018 – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) has announced details on a cross-country consultation this fall as part of a comprehensive process to gather stakeholder feedback. The process will comprise a number of components, including focus groups in 18 cities, in all provinces and territories, as well as a series of industry working groups.
To attend one of the focus groups, click here to register. For complete continuously updated event details, please refer to the CMF website. Each focus group will last between two to three hours.
During the focus groups, all CMF stakeholders will have an opportunity to consider how significant shifts in content consumption habits, rapidly-evolving market conditions, as well as policy and regulatory changes will impact the CMF’s funding programs, particularly in light of the government’s Creative Canada Policy Framework and the recently-launched review of the Telecommunications and Broadcasting Acts.
Feedback received from stakeholders will contribute to shaping CMF policy and programs for the foreseeable future.
The CMF will also conduct a series of working groups with industry stakeholders to delve more deeply into specific, program-related topics.
CMF stakeholders are invited to share comments and questions via the CMF website or through our social media accounts on Twitter and Facebook. We encourage the use of #CMFconsults in any tweets or posts on the subject. Please note that the CMF publishes correspondence it receives as part of the industry consultation process on its Website, unless otherwise specified by the author.
